EU Court Can’t Block Company Testimonies in Belgian Aid Case

Anheuser-Busch InBev should retain the right to weigh in on a high-profile court case that will decide whether Belgium has to claw back hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks to multinationals, an adviser to the EU’s top court wrote in a legal opinion Thursday.

Representatives of the US brewing giant were allowed to submit observations in European Commission v Kingdom of Belgium and Magnetrol International while the case was on appeal at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
