EU Set to Adopt Import Value-Added Tax Reform Bill

EU finance ministers next week are set to approve a bill that overhauls the way sellers report and pay value-added tax on goods imported from outside the bloc, a senior EU diplomat said.

The bill would remove the current 150 euro ($169) threshold for EU-based sellers to use the so-called Import One-Stop Shop, which allows online sellers to register in one EU country to declare and pay VAT.
