The European Commission sees little room for implementing binding rules that would unify the taxation of cross-border teleworkers in the EU, an official said Tuesday.
“We’re looking at possibilities of legislative action, but this is not a very realistic way to go,” said Henrik Paulander, head of sector administrative cooperation at the European Commission. “The need for unanimity would make it extremely difficult, and we see that member states are not interested in this approach.”
