EU envoys could hand the European Parliament a role in future updates of a bill meant to simplify reporting for the bloc’s minimum corporate tax rules.
EU diplomats will consider Friday a plan to apply a so-called delegated act—a legal procedure that allows the European Commission to expedite legislative updates.
Under a delegated act, updates to the EU bill, known as DAC9, could be swiftly adopted, but would require the approval of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, which hosts representatives of EU countries.
