Ex-Tallgrass Director, Friends Settle SEC Insider Trading Suit

An ex-director of Tallgrass Energy LP and four friends will pay $2.2 million to settle allegations that they used nonpublic information to trade ahead of a Blackstone unit’s offer to acquire the pipeline company, according to an SEC release.

Former Tallgrass board member Roy Cook, his business associates Jeffrey Natrop and Peter Renner, personal friend James Rudolph, and accountant Peter Williams purchased Tallgrass securities before acquisition was announced publicly on Aug. 27, 2019.
