Expect OECD Digital Tax Plan in October—But Not Impact Report

Fresh details on the OECD’s digital tax project will be out early October, but a full analysis of its impact on countries’ revenues won’t be ready this year, the group’s tax chief said.

The plan won’t cause a “massive shift” in countries’ revenues, Pascal Saint-Amans, director of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Center for Tax Policy and Administration said Sept. 11. He said this is because the OECD is seeking a solution “where you don’t have big losers or big winners.”

“Countries should relax a bit on that one,” he said.
