Fiat, Ireland to Fight EU Tax Ruling Order Without Luxembourg

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV and Ireland are battling European Union tax payback orders all the way to the bloc’s highest court. Luxembourg has decided not to join them, according to the EU tribunal’s website.

While both Luxembourg and Fiat initially challenged the European Commission’s order for 30 million euros ($33.4 million) in back taxes, the Grand Duchy has decided not to take part in the sequel at the EU Court of Justice after judges at a lower tribunal ruled against them in September.
