Fiji Tax Agency Posts Regulations on Income Tax Exemptions, Incentives for Warehouse Investment, Construction

The Fijian Revenue and Customs Authority Aug. 6 posted online regulations introducing tax incentives and exemptions for the investment in or construction of warehouses. The regulations establish a warehouse business incentive program where the company’s income will be exempt for: 1) five years if the capital investment is between 250,000 Fijian dollars (US$114,909) and 1 million dollars (US$459,638); 2) seven years if the capital investment is between 1 million dollars (US$459,638) and 2 million dollars (US$919,276); or 3) 13 years if the capital investment is more than 2 million dollars (US$919,276).
