Florida Enacts Building Reforms, Includes Tax Treatment for Manufactured Housing

The Florida Governor signed a law amending multiple sections of the state’s statutes relating to building permits and inspections, as well as zoning rules for off-site-constructed housing. The law requires certain manufactured housing units placed on mobile home lots to be taxed as mobile homes. The law takes effect July 1. [H.B. 803, enacted 04/30/26]
