France Administrative Court of Appeal of Nancy Issues Decision Clarifying Taxation of Precious Metals, Penalties

The French Administrative Court of Appeal of Nancy Dec. 18 issued Decision No. 24NC01541, clarifying the application of the tax on precious metals and related penalties. Following an audit, the taxpayer, a precious metals trading company, sought to discharge additional assessments of the precious metals tax and social security tax for 2017. The tax authority and the Strasbourg Administrative Court denied the request.
