France Gazettes Decree Issuing VAT Deduction Procedures, Invoicing Obligations for VAT Groups

The French Official Gazette July 23 published Decree No. 2022-1033, issuing VAT deduction procedures and invoicing obligations for VAT groups. The decree includes measures establishing: 1) provisions to determine the tax coefficient for specific expenses borne by the VAT group; 2) the tax coefficient application criteria; 3) specific calculation methods; 4) activity sectors and sub sectors within a group; 5) obligations to provide specific details while issuing invoices; and 6) VAT registration requirements for assigning the group VAT identification number.
