France Tax Agency Announces Postponement of E-Invoicing Implementation

The French General Directorate of Public Finance Oct. 30 announced the postponement of the implementation of the generalization of VAT e-invoicing, originally scheduled for July 1, 2024. The announcement includes that the entry into force dates for the obligation to issue e-invoices are postponed to: 1) Sept. 1, 2026, for large and mid-sized companies; and 2) Sept. 1, 2027, for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro-enterprises. The postponement is set as part of the work to adopt the 2024 finance law. [France, General Directorate of Public Finance, 10/30/23]
