France Tax Agency Updates Administrative Doctrine on Zero-Rate Eco-Loan Tax Credit for Old Housing Renovation

The French General Directorate of Public Finance Nov. 27 updated an administrative doctrine on the zero-rate eco-loan (eco-PTZ) tax credit for financing energy performance improvements in old housing. The updated administrative doctrine includes that: 1) eco-PTZ is applicable to offers of repayable advances not bearing interest issued until Dec. 31, 2027; 2) the cap of 50,000 euros (US$52,738) per dwelling for the specified energy performance work applies to offers of repayable advances not bearing interest issued from April 1, 2024; 3) the specified tax credit applies, with regard to work to improve the energy performance of certain housing, to offers ...
