France to Harden Transfer Pricing Controls in Tax Fraud Crackdown

France will strengthen its capacity to detect and sanction abusive transfer pricing transactions by multinational companies under broad new measures outlined Tuesday by Minister of Public Accounts Gabriel Attal.

The measures would include a lower threshold for the obligation to submit complete transfer pricing documentation and longer recovery periods for transactions involving intangible assets, according to a media release.

To help companies cope, France’s General Directorate of Public Finances would be reinforced to speed up processing of companies’ requests for advance pricing agreements, among other measures.
