G-20 Signals Support for OECD Digital Tax Plan

The Group of 20 economies said they will back the OECD’s effort to rewrite global tax rules but didn’t endorse specific details of a plan.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is working to overhaul the global tax rules that determine where and how much multinationals are taxed. The project aims to get 130 countries to agree to a plan that will address concerns that tech giants, in particular, aren’t paying enough tax or not paying it in some countries where they have a large user base.
