G7 Expects OECD Progress Report on Digital Tax Talks by Year-End

The Group of Seven nations expect a progress report from the OECD by the end of the year on negotiations addressing the challenges of taxing the digital economy.

Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US expect current dialogue on the digital economy to reach a “shared understanding of challenges posed to the international tax system” by the end of 2026, according to a communique published Tuesday.
