The IRS has asked General Electric Co. for information on how it calculated income taxes in light of the first Trump administration’s 2017 tax law as part of an ongoing audit, the company said Tuesday.
GE said in its latest 10-Q quarterly report that it received Acknowledgement of Facts Information Document Requests from the IRS in March related to its income tax returns for 2016-20.
The information requests are seeking to clarify the company’s income tax computations before and after the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the company said.
