Georgia Repeals Early County Property Tax Exemption

The Georgia Governor signed a law that includes: 1) repealing a provision that provides a five year local ad valorem property tax exemption to any person building, equipping, or enlarging a manufacturing or processing plant in Early County; and 2) providing that any property receiving such exemption on the effective date of the law can continue to receive such exemption for the remainder of the unexpired five year period granted pursuant to such former provision.
