The German Government June 5 announced cabinet approval of the Annual Tax Act 2024. The Act includes measures to: 1) specify that credits provided by employers, in addition to wages, will be taxed at a 25 percent flat-rate; 2) reduce the tax rate to 7 percent from 19 percent for the delivery and intra-community acquisition of art works; 3) clarify that landlords will be non-profit and receive tax relief if they provide permanently subsidized housing; 4) explain that bonus payments made by statutory health insurance companies for health-conscious behaviors are permanently tax-free, for up to 150 euros (US$163); and 5) ...
