The German Government Oct. 29 announced approval by the Cabinet of Ministers to increase statutory hourly minimum wage rates for 2026 and 2027. The announcement includes increases to: 1) 13.90 euros (US$16.07) from 12.82 euros (US$14.82), effective Jan. 1, 2026; and 2) 14.60 euros (US$16.88) from 13.90 euros, effective Jan. 1, 2027. The announcement also includes that the mini-job limit, currently 556 euros (US$642.86) gross per month, will increase effective Jan. 1, 2026. [Germany, Government Portal, 10/29/25]
