The German Government April 2 announced approval by the Cabinet of Ministers to reduce aviation tax rates, effective July 1. The announcement includes reductions to: 1) 13.03 euros (US$15) per passenger, from 15.53 euros (US$18), for short-haul flights; 2) 33.01 euros (US$38) per passenger, from 39.34 euros (US$45), for medium-haul flights; and 3) 59.43 euros (US$69) per passenger, from 70.83 euros (US$82), for long-haul flights.
