The German lower house of parliament (Bundestag) May 4 accepted for consideration Bill No. 21/5688, to reduce aviation tax rates. The bill includes measures to reduce the aviation tax rates to: 1) 13.03 euros (US$15) per passenger, from 15.53 euros (US$18), for short-haul flights; 2) 33.01 euros (US$39) per passenger, from 39.34 euros (US$46), for medium-haul flights; and 3) 59.43 euros (US$70) per passenger, from 70.83 euros (US$83), for long-haul flights.
