Germany reported a massive influx of objections to its tax assessments following reforms to the country’s property tax and valuation law.
The number of objections filed grew from almost 3 million in 2022 to nearly 10 million in 2023—a 233% increase. The statistics were published as part of the Federal Ministry of Finance September 2024 monthly report.
