The Ghanaian Revenue Authority Jan. 10 posted online amendments to the VAT Act. The amendments include measures to: 1) set the VAT flat rate at 3 percent for retailers with an annual turnover of between 200,000 Ghanaian cedis (US$32,407) and 500,000 cedis (US$80,839); and 2) extend the VAT zero-rate on African textile prints to Dec. 31, 2023, for local textile manufacturers.
