Gibraltar Announces Increase in Weekly Employer Social Insurance Contribution Rates

The Gibraltar Government June 24 announced an increase in the minimum and maximum weekly employer social insurance contributions. The announcement clarifies that, beginning July 1: 1) the minimum contribution is increased to 28 pounds (US$39) from 18.15 pounds (US$25); and 2) the maximum contribution is increased to 50 pounds (US$69) from 40.15 pounds (US$55). The announcement further clarifies that the contribution rates for specific employees, employers, and self-employed taxpayers remain unchanged. [Gibraltar, Government Portal, 06/24/21]
