Global Tax Deal Can Help Declutter National Rules, OECD Says

A global minimum tax approach with Pillar Two is an opportunity to “declutter” national tax rules that may no longer be fit for a purpose, an OECD official said at the International Tax Conference in Munich Thursday.

“Now that we have a systemic approach, what elements do we no longer need, such as rethinking CFC rules and anti-avoidance rules,” said Achim Pross, deputy director of the Center for Tax Practice and Administration at the OECD.
