Greece Gazettes Law Amending Penalties for Beneficial Ownership Requirements

The Greek Official Gazette June 16 published Law No. 4941/2022, amending penalties for legal entities that fail to submit, or submit an inaccurate or incomplete beneficial ownership declaration, and fail to keep the required beneficial ownership information. The law includes measures: 1) imposing penalties of 5,000 euros (US$5,020) for businesses with a net revenue of up to 100,000 euros (US$100,270), 10,000 euros (US$10,019) for businesses with a net revenue of between 100,000 euros and 700,000 euros (US$701,296), 20,000 euros (US$20,037) for businesses with a net revenue of between 700,000 and 8 million euros (US$8 million), and 40,000 euros (US$40,169) for ...
