Greece MOF Seeks Comments on Draft Bill to Amend Code of Tax Procedure

The Greek Ministry of National Economy and Finance March 29 opened a consultation on a draft bill to amend the Code of Tax Procedure. The draft bill includes measures to: 1) simplify tax collection and introduce digitalization into the tax process; 2) require specific taxpayers to provide a guarantee before starting business activity and inform the Tax Agency of business activity changes, for intra-group transactions and taxpayers subject to VAT; 3) mandate electronic document transmission, including for tax deductions and deductible expenses to ensure accurate reporting; 4) require cross-border payment service providers to maintain detailed records of beneficiaries and payments ...
