Greece MOF Seeks Comments on Draft Bill to Implement New Tax Measures Under EU Directives

The Greek Ministry of Finance July 7 opened a consultation on a draft bill to implement new tax measures under various EU directives. The draft bill includes: 1) business investment incentives, including targeted tax exemptions; 2) automobile tax incentives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, including reduced fees for clean-energy automobiles and tax exemptions; 3) an overhaul of the tax dispute resolution system to encourage efficiency; 4) administrative co-operation measures between EU member states to prevent aggressive tax planning; and 5) the imposition of rules to facilitate EU exit taxes, hybrid arrangements, and VAT administration.
