Greece Parliament Considers Draft Bill on 2026 State Budget

The Greek Parliament Oct. 6 accepted for consideration a draft bill on the 2026 state budget. The draft bill includes measures to: 1) increase the minimum wage rate in April 2026, with further increases to reach 950 euros (US$1,107.91) per month by April 2027, from 880 euros (US$1,026.27) per month in 2025; 2) establish a 100 percent super-deduction for investment expenditures in strategic sectors; 3) reduce tax rates by 2 percent for income from 10,000 euros (US$11,662) to 40,000 euros (US$46,645), and introduce a new tax scale with a 39 percent tax rate for income between 40,000 euros to 60,000 ...
