Greece Prime Minister Announces Tax Relief Measures Due to Coronavirus

The Greek Prime Minister Sept. 12 announced tax relief measures due to the coronavirus pandemic. The proposal includes measures to: 1) reduce to 36.7 percent from 39.7 percent the 2021 insurance contributions of private sector employers and employees; 2) eliminate the solidarity contribution beginning in 2021; 3) extend the advance tax repayment program to specified sectors; 4) introduce a 200 percent overdepreciation for digital and green fixed capital investments from 2021-23; 5) exempt uniform real estate property taxes (ENFIA) permanently for specified regions beginning in 2020; 6) extend to April 2021 the tax debt payment deadline for professionals affected by ...
