Grenada MOF Presents 2025 Budget Speech

The Grenadian Ministry of Finance March 7 presented the 2025 budget speech. The speech includes measures to: 1) remove all taxes and duties on renewable energy vehicles; 2) further extend the VAT exemption for specified food items and essential products for an additional year, effective Jan. 1; 3) further maintain the reduced petrol tax rate of 3.50 East Caribbean dollars (US$1.29) per gallon; 4) maintain the monthly electricity subsidy of 10 dollars (US$3.69) for residential consumers using up to 99 kilowatt-hours per month; and 5) introduce a public transportation subsidy for bus operators.
