Groups Urge Australia to Pass Country-By-Country Reporting Bill

More than 50 civil society groups have urged Australia to pass a bill introducing country-by-country reporting by multinational corporations.

Companies earning A$10 million ($6.62 million) or more a year in Australia and around 41 other countries would have to provide extensive detail on their international revenue and assets, under the bill.

Australian lawmakers only have until Friday to pass the bill this year unless the government orders them to continue to work on legislation.
