The UK tax authority Wednesday issued guidance for tax agents to gain access to their clients’ first global minimum corporation tax information.
Tax agents need to set up an agent services account and get their clients’ authorization through a “digital handshake” to access top-up taxes under the 15% global minimum tax, according to His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
Top-up taxes are multinational companies’ additional liabilities to bring their effective corporation tax rate to 15%.
