The Honduran President’s Office Oct. 24 announced new measures providing tax benefits for small businesses and residences. The benefits include: 1) an increase in the electricity sales tax exemption ceiling for rentals to 10,000 Honduran lempiras (US$405) from 5,000 Honduran lempiras (US$202); and 2) the elimination of sales tax on electricity in the residential sector.
