The Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department July 25 issued a circular extending the filing deadline under the block extension regime, to Aug. 29 from Aug. 15, for 2023-2024 profits tax returns with accounting date code “D.” The extension applies to returns with accounting dates of from Dec. 1, 2023, to Dec. 31, 2023. Tax representatives are encouraged to file as many returns as possible prior to the extended deadline. [Hong Kong, Inland Revenue Department, 07/25/24]
