Hong Kong Tax Agency Issues Notice on Employers Tax Return Filing

The Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department April 18 issued a notice for employers’ tax returns of remuneration and pensions (Form BIR56A) for the tax year that ended on March 31. The notice includes: 1) information on the return form, issued April 2; 2) the May 2 deadline for filing return forms for the relevant employees for the tax year that ended on March 31; 3) the option to file electronically; and 4) an application procedure for employers that haven’t received the form yet.
