Most EU countries are ready for a compromise on the bloc’s controversial energy taxation bill, according to Hungary, which holds the EU’s rotating presidency.
Hungary believes it would be impossible to cater a compromise which is to the liking of all delegations “but it invites delegations to show flexibility,” it said in a steering note dated Nov. 21 that was shared with other countries and seen by Bloomberg.
