The Hungarian Ministry of Finance Nov. 28 announced the option for reduced small business tax rates for 2022. The ministry explained that: 1) taxpayers may chose the 10 percent simplified small business taxation regime (KIVA) to replace the 9 percent corporate income tax and the 13 percent social contribution tax, beginning in 2022; and 2) the eligibility criteria for the regime includes businesses with between 50 and 100 employees and annual revenue between 3 billion Hungarian forint (US$9.2 million) and 6 billion forint (US$18.5 million).
