Hungary to Cut Tax on Cryptocurrency Earnings by 50% From 2022

Hungary to reduce tax on cryptocurrency earnings to 15% from 30.5% currently, Finance Minister Mihaly Varga said in a Facebook post.

  • Government expects “several billion forint” of revenue from the tax cut
  • Other tax changes include allowing energy providers to deduct losses over the next five fiscal years
