The Icelandic Parliament (Althingi) Oct. 22 accepted for consideration Bill No. 307, to amend various laws on taxes and fees. The bill includes measures to: 1) specify that a pension fund is permitted to own up to 35 percent of unit certificates or shares in collective investment funds that only invest in small or medium-sized companies, not exceeding 1 percent of the total assets in each fund; 2) explain that if taxpayers file a court case for the refund of taxes, fees, or fines, they may demand late payment interest from the time the court case was filed; and 3) ...
