The Idaho Governor signed a law that includes establishing secure electronic communication as an authorized means for communicating tax-related notices and documents to taxpayers. The legislation adds a formal definition of “secure electronic communication” and requires taxpayers to opt-in to receive secure electronic communications. The law takes effect on July 1.
