The Idaho Department of Revenue has reminded taxpayers that they may claim the 2025 food tax credit for some of the sales tax they paid on food, even if they are not required to file an income tax return. The credit provides $155 for most Idaho residents and $155 for each qualifying dependent, with refunds of up to $250 available for documented sales tax paid on food. All full-year residents qualify, subject to prorated adjustments for periods of incarceration, receipt of federal food assistance, or unlawful presence.
