Illinois DOR Adopts Amended Rules on Motor Fuel Tax

The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) adopted the amended rules on motor fuel tax. The regulations: 1) incorporate changes exempting aviation fuel from the tax; 2) clarify how to calculate the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for any motor fuel tax increase; and 3) extend the leaking underground storage tank tax through Dec. 31, 2029.
