The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) July 22 announced Monroe County’s 2023 property assessment equalization factor, also called the “multiplier,” for property tax purposes. The equalization factor is 1.0297 for 2023 taxes payable in 2024. The current assessments in the county are at 32.37 percent of market value, based on sales of properties in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
