Indian government is seeking a tweak in methodology for assessing taxes at Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development that will help it in collecting more tax from global tech companies, The Economic Times reported citing people it didn’t identify.
- India wants number of users to determine tax payable by the tech firms in a country, according to the newspaper
- OECD has said that tax collections from big digital companies may rise by $100b globally if new tax regulations are approved and adopted by all the countries
