Ireland MOF Announces Budget 2025

The Irish Department of Finance Oct. 1 announced the 2025 budget. The budget measures include: 1) increase the income tax standard rate band by 2,000 euros (US$2,214) for all earners and increase individual, employee, and earned income tax credits to 2,000 euros from 1,875 euros (US$2,075); 2) increase the 2 percent rate band ceiling of the universal social charge (USC) to 27,382 euros (US$30,307) from 25,760 euros (US$28,511) and reduce to 3 percent the 4 percent USC rate band for income between 27,382 euros (US$30,307) and 70,044 euros (US$77,167), applicable Jan. 1, 2025; 3) increase various tax ...
