The Irish Department of Finance March 29 clarified the increase in film tax credits. The clarification includes: 1) the increase in the film tax credit amount to 125 million euros (US$135 million) from 70 million euros (US$75 million); 2) the extension of the tax credit to Dec. 31, 2028, from Dec. 31, 2024; 3) that the credit is granted at the rate of 32 percent, and applies to eligible expenditures, 80 percent of total production costs, or 125 million euros, whichever is least; and 4) the minimum amount that must be spent on the production is 250,000 euros (US$269,515) and ...
