Sharyn Fisk, director of the IRS’s Office of Professional Responsibility, will leave the agency at the end of January.
Fisk, who has worked at the IRS for five years, oversaw notable revisions to Circular 230, which contains regulations for those practicing in front of the IRS, including attorneys, certified public accountants, enrolled agents, and others, the agency said in a release Monday.
She also directed implementation of provisions in the 2022 tax-and-climate law and CHIPS Act, as leader of the Tax Provision Implementation Office.
