Isle of Man Treasury Announces Temporary VAT Reduction on Selected Family Activities

The Isle of Man Treasury May 22 announced a temporary VAT reduction, to 5 percent from 20 percent, on selected family activities, from June 25 to Sept. 1. The announcement includes that the reduced rate: 1) will apply to children’s meals served in restaurants for consumption on the premises, to children’s and family tickets for cinemas, theaters, concerts, shows, and exhibitions, and to admission tickets for children and adults to specific attractions, including amusement parks, fairs, museums, zoos, soft play centers, circuses, adventure parks, nature reserves, wildlife parks, and observation and visitor attractions; and 2) won’t apply to sports, including ...
